About us.
Digital Marketing Concepts (DMC) is Jay Lindell, a forward-thinking, customer-focused creative business manager with more than 40 years of corporate, retail, healthcare, financial and industrial communications experience.
DMC is the 21st century incarnation of Jay's mid-1980s communications business, Video Marketing Concepts. The hallmark of VMC was VideoSell™, an integrated sales management program Jay developed for businesses of all sizes. VideoSell combined the use of direct mail, telemarketing and VHS video presentations to generate and qualify sales leads before — and sometimes instead of — incurring the time and expense of in-person sales calls. Extremely cost-effective. Wildly popular. And way ahead of its time.
As was the Micromercial™, a specially produced 15-second video with no sound. Developed for use on the nascent outdoor video billboard medium, Micromercials combined the visual impact of a music video with the sales message of a TV commercial, enabling busy passers-by on foot or in vehicles to quickly absorb the key sales message of the featured products and services. VMC worked with Mitsubishi to pilot this new advertising medium on video screens in New York and several U.S. sports arenas. That experience led to Jay joining Sony's Video 1 group as the Marketing Manager for their Jumbotron screen in Times Square, New York.
In 1994, Jay joined Ernst & Young working in marketing and communications for the firm's IT division. In a 30-year career there, Jay directed and created a wide variety of deliverables including: web sites; videos; marketing collateral; brand identity; interactive learning; change management communications; print and digital graphics; product and service promotions; data visualization; user guides; technical manuals and more.
In 2024, Jay left EY and started DMC to help nice people like you with your marketing and communications needs.
